New Feature… Catch me Online

Today I added a new feature on my blog : the Trillian Status Bar. you can now see if I am online, and will be able to IM directly from my page. all you would need is an account at one of the free IM services, you don’t even need the client installed on your computer, as you can use the web service.

The status bar will look something like this when on the top right of my blog:

when you click on the bar, you will go to a page where you have direct links to login to your account over the web, this is what it would look like:

  1. I really appreciate this “heads up”. Just what I was looking for, and I’d have missed it but for this post. Thanks again!

    BTW, I’m new to WordPress, but recognize the “Head” theme. You’re uing a plugin for the comment preview doohickey? Hmmm, more to google …. :-)

  2. Pam, glad this post was helpful to you… sometimes I wonder if anybody even gets to my blog :) haha

    no worries there, I’m actually new to wordpress too. I used to use the google blog thingy before, but I didn’t really like the idea of all my data being stored on the google server, so I switched to wordpress and hosted my own database.

    I see you have the “comment preview doohickey” on your site :) haha
